Does getting VIP for life (200B coins) affect an Elite subscription?

I have an Elite subscription but I recently hit 200B. Do they give you a discount on Elite or should I cancel the Elite and go with the VIP since it's free now?

  Yes, I do realize that I will lose the Elite perks if I downgrade.

  The Elite subscription does not receive a discount if you have VIP For Life.
